A multi-product multi-layer urban freight distribution problem solved using a hybrid metaheuristic procedure

The pick-up and delivery routing problem has received special attention thanks to its application urban freight distribution processes. However, due the multiple levels involved in those processes, modeling analyzing networks contexts are complex tasks. As a result, efficient robust solution methods should be proposed according dynamic uncertain conditions that characterize this type of problems. This article presents new formulation for logistics network composed 3 levels: n: 1: m (n suppliers, 1 consolidation center, customers). In addition, an algorithm based on GRASP heuristic 2-opt was implemented here find solutions problem, which were compared with results same two-layer vehicle several instances. Thus, procedure achieved 22% improvement over such algorithm.
